The International Pagan Society is developing a responsible digital knowledge center for educational resources, cultural preservation, community-informed scholarship, and carefully governed access to living traditions.

Voluntary, consent-based accounts shared by practitioners and community members.
Art, Material Culture and Visual Records
Creative and material expressions of these traditions, documented with care.
Botanical, Ecological and Land-Based Knowledge
Knowledge connecting these traditions to plants, land, and seasonal cycles.
Community Publications and Event Proceedings
Materials produced by and for practitioner communities, shared with their permission.
Principles That Would Guide the Repository
Not all knowledge belongs in an open-access repository. These principles are meant to guide when, how, and whether material is included.
Informed Consent
Materials are included only with clear, informed consent from the people or communities they come from.
Accurate Attribution
Crediting the individuals, families, or communities that knowledge and material belong to.
Respect for Restricted Knowledge
Recognizing that not all knowledge is meant to be openly shared, and honoring that boundary.
Community Participation
Involving communities in decisions about how their own material is described and accessed.
Contextual Description
Presenting material with the historical and cultural context it needs to be understood responsibly.
Privacy and Dignity
Protecting the privacy, safety, and dignity of the people connected to any material held.
Responsible Access
Matching access conditions to what is appropriate for each piece of material, rather than defaulting to open access for everything.
Correction and Accountability
Being willing to revise, restrict, or remove material when a legitimate concern is raised.
Filters the Repository May Eventually Offer
A preview of possible ways future materials could be filtered once verified content exists. These are not active controls, and there are no records beneath them yet.

What a Future Repository Record Could Include
This describes the kind of information a future record might carry — it is a metadata model, not an actual item held by IPS.
- Title
- A short, descriptive title given to the material when it is added.
- Creator or Community Attribution
- Credit to the individual, family, or community the material comes from, given with their consent.
- Cultural Context
- Background needed to understand the material responsibly, without overstating certainty.
- Source Information
- Where the material came from and how it was obtained.
- Permission and Access Level
- What access conditions the contributor has agreed to for this specific item.
- Description
- A plain-language summary of what the material is and what it documents.
- Citation Guidance
- How the material should be credited if referenced elsewhere.
- Correction History
- A record of any corrections made after the item was added.
Principles for Future Oral-History Materials
IPS does not currently hold any oral-history recordings. These are the principles we intend to follow if and when such materials are collected.

Open for anyone to view.
Educational
Made available for learning and teaching contexts.
Restricted
Limited to specific, agreed circumstances.
Community-Controlled
Access decisions remain with the contributing community.
Embargoed
Held back from access until a later, agreed time.
Not Accepted for Repository Inclusion
Some material may not be appropriate for the repository at all.

We do not currently claim equivalence with any external standard, certification, registry, or indexing body, and no editorial board or peer-review process is in place yet.
Repository Contributions and Submissions
There is no submission form, upload portal, or deposit system available yet. Guidelines for contributing material will be published after appropriate legal, ethical, privacy, cultural-consent, security, and operational review has taken place. Please do not send sensitive or personal material before a secure process exists.
